From the 1980 hit slasher film, The Shining, REDRUM is a specialty rum based on one of the most iconic scenes from the film. The bottle itself is an experience for the consumer. The back of the bottle is a mirror frame, which calls to another trope in horror movies with cryptic messages written on mirrors. When you look through the di-cut the word REDRUM can be read as MURDER through the bottle. Both the typeface of the logo and the color of the rum itself make the logo look like dripping blood.
